LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A 25-year-old man died in an accident Monday morning on Durango Drive between Windmill Lane and Wigwam Avenue.
According to Metro police, the accident happened just before 4 a.m. and involved just one vehicle. The only person in this vehicle was killed.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup truck was heading south on Durango approaching Camero Avenue when the driver pulled off the road. The vehicle then returned to the road and crossed the median before colliding with a water pipe and continuing on its way.
From there, the van returned to the road at the intersection with Wigwam, then struck a large tree and a brick wall, Metro police said.
The pickup truck came to rest in the southbound traffic lanes on Durango, south of Wigwam.
The intersection of Durango and Wigwam was closed during the investigation, but all lanes are now open.
