The Vegas Strip gets another addition: Peter Luger Steak House

For the first time in 60 years, Michelin-starred New York-based restaurant Peter Luger Steak House is expanding, this time with a new location on the Las Vegas Strip, the company said on Monday. The new location will be inside Caesars Palace and is expected to open at the end of 2022.

This will be the restaurant’s first domestic unit outside of New York City.

“We are delighted to bring Peter Luger to Caesars Palace. It was essential for us to be able to bring to Las Vegas the same menu, the same vibe and – most importantly – the same quality of beef that we are known for in New York City, and Caesars was aligned with that vision, ”said Amy. Rubenstein. , the president of Peter Luger, in a press release. “Our two iconic brands have rich and famous histories, and we couldn’t imagine a better partner in Las Vegas. “

Peter Luger has operated in New York for almost 135 years and currently has three locations: the original location in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn; one in Great Neck, NY; and a third in Tokyo.

“Peter Luger Steak House is one of New York’s premier dining destinations, providing world-class food and service for over a century,” Caesars Entertainment regional president Sean McBurney said in a statement. “Like Caesars Palace, Peter Luger is timeless and inimitable. We are delighted to welcome Peter Luger to the Strip, and we know our guests will love the opportunity to experience this legendary New York tradition in the heart of Las Vegas.

The meats at Peter Luger must meet high standards. The owners of the family follow Matriarch Marsha Forman’s tradition of visiting New York City meat markets, where they hand-select from an already narrow selection of USDA Prime beef. The selected meat is brought to the dry aging facilities on site.

Peter Luger is the latest restaurant to make the jump to Las Vegas. Just last week, Martha Stewart announced her first restaurant business on the Las Vegas Strip, in the same casino as Lisa Vanderpump’s latest restaurant.
