NFL player Damon Arnette arrested in Miami Beach: report

Damon Arnette, a former cornerback for the Las Vegas Raiders, was reportedly arrested early Tuesday morning on three counts in South Florida.
Arnette was first arrested Monday night in Miami Beach and found driving with a suspended license and given a citation, but could not avoid arrest in his second stop in four hours, reports TMZ Sports, citing police records.
After the first stop, officers reportedly told Arnette that he was not allowed to drive his vehicle until his license was reinstated, but they “allowed another licensed driver to drive the vehicle from the stop. Traffic”.

However, police say officers found him driving the same car around 12:48 p.m. ET and arrested him for knowingly driving with a suspended license. Police say a further search of Arnette found a bag “containing (a) a white powdery substance consistent with that of cocaine,” according to TMZ.
Arnette was booked shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.
Arnette has been in trouble since being drafted by the Raiders in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was released by Las Vegas last November after videos of his guns waving and uttering death threats surfaced. surfaced on social media.

About two months later, he was arrested in Las Vegas and charged with five felonies, all of which were dropped on Tuesday. He was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs at the time, who released him upon news of the arrest.
He was also accused of injuring a woman in a car accident in 2020 – these charges came three days before his release from the Raiders.
