Martha Stewart’s first restaurant planned for the Las Vegas Strip

It looks like Martha Stewart is about to open her first restaurant – and it will be on the Las Vegas Strip, in Paris Las Vegas. A demolition permit indicating that a space is cleared there to make room for the “Martha Stewart Restaurant” has been filed with Clark County.

Representatives for Stewart and Caesars Entertainment – notoriously low-key about the new projects – did not respond to requests for comment, but the permit indicates the involvement of Dezmotif Studios, a local architecture and interior design firm. .

There is a precedent for the new restaurant. Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis opened her first restaurant in 2014 at Cromwell, another Caesars establishment a short walk from Paris Las Vegas, and it has proven to be a huge success. She then opened Pronto, a much more casual restaurant and wine bar, at Caesars Palace in 2018.

Local industry representatives have welcomed the news of a possible Stewart spot.

“Unique and never-before-seen dining experiences, especially by prominent and popular personalities, have always elevated our ‘Only Vegas’ offering brand,” said Lori Nelson-Kraft, senior vice president of communications for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. .

“While we don’t know if there is any truth to the rumor that Martha Stewart is considering opening a restaurant in Paris Las Vegas,” she said, “it would be an incredible addition to the destination and A huge draw for our visitors to have its culinary expertise and avant-garde lifestyle beautifies the already vibrant Las Vegas dining scene.

“Las Vegas is the tourism capital of the world, so adding another top restaurant only makes our city more attractive,” said Alexandria Dazlich, director of government and public relations for the Nevada Restaurant Association. “The news of the opening of new restaurants is exciting and we hope this is a sign of good times ahead for our industry.”

No opening date has been announced.
