Las Vegas Raiders’ Darren Waller Brings Out the Best of Divine Deablo

Las Vegas Raiders rookie linebacker Divine Deablo absorbs all the knowledge needed to take on one of the league’s best tight ends in practice.

Deablo, who got to see more playing time last week against the Washington soccer team, will now have a more difficult game on Sunday as he and the Raiders take on the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead.

“Personally, I have a lot of confidence. I study it all the time. I just have to do a good job of staying calm, staying under him and matching his hips, but yes I am confident in my abilities ”, Deablo said he has to defend Chiefs Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce.

While lining up against Kelce is a challenge for many defenders, Deablo has the opportunity to prepare for a clash like this every day in training.

Deablo lines up and covers Darren waller during training, another tight end of the Pro Bowl.

Learning to cover Waller brought out the best in the rookie linebacker.

“It helped me a lot, actually, because he’s probably the fastest tight end in the league, in my opinion. But working against him every day definitely took my game to another level ”, Deablo added.

Training against Waller has helped him prepare and gain the confidence to come out on game day and cover any player lined up against him.
