Las Vegas Police: 1 Arrested After Shooting Kills Roommate In East Valley Apartment | News


LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – Las Vegas Police have arrested a man after a fatal New Year’s Day shooting they say stems from an argument between a man and woman who were roommates in an apartment near E. Flamingo and Pecos Road.

At approximately 11:26 a.m. on January 1, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police received a call regarding an argument between a man and a woman at an apartment in the 3200 block of East Flamingo Road. Arriving police found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds, police said. She was pronounced dead on the spot.

The detective’s preliminary investigation revealed the victim had an argument with her roommate, later identified as Glenn Wright, 68. During the argument, Wright drew a gun and shot the victim. He then left the scene before the police arrived, police said.

According to LVMPD, Wright was located and taken into custody without incident. He was incarcerated in the Clark County Detention Center for open murder.

The identity of the victim, cause and mode of death will be disclosed by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
