Las Vegas monorail reminds public of $1 fares for locals

The Las Vegas Monorail reminds the public of the $1 local fare, providing locals with an affordable way to get to various vacation activities around the Strip.

Riders can start at SLS Las Vegas – where parking is free – and continue with stops at any of the stations along the way.

Activities and offerings at the seven Monorail stations include:

SLS Las Vegas – Show Nevada ID for the “Secret Locals Menu” at the Northside Café and Chinese Kitchen and refuel with breakfast or lunch before boarding the monorail.

Westgate Resort and Casino – Serenity Day Spa at Westgate is offering Spa-Liday: 12 Days of Special Offers until 24th December. Each day offers a different free service, deep discount or other offer.

Las Vegas Convention Center – Until December 15, visit this free extravaganza of Western clothing and gifts with over 300 exhibitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Harrah’s Las Vegas/LINQ Promenade – Discover the transformation of the LINQ boardwalk into a magical winter wonderland. Live performances by singing singers or whimsical dancers from ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas take place daily at the start of every hour from 6-9 p.m. Plus, locals can take advantage of $5 off ticket prices for the all-new FLY LINQ, the only zipline on the Las Vegas Strip.

Flamingo Las Vegas/Caesars Palace – Take young guests or family members to the Flamingo Las Vegas Wildlife Habitat.

Bally’s Las Vegas/Paris Las Vegas– Nevada residents still receive a 50% discount on admission to the Eiffel Tower observation deck at Paris Las Vegas. Family packages are also available.

Big MGM – Try virtual reality at the MGM Grand. Virtual Reality Powered by Zero Latency at the MGM Grand is open to adults, as well as children ages 13 and up.

Locals can purchase $1 one-way monorail tickets at customer service counters located at every station (except the Las Vegas Convention Center station) with proof of Nevada identification.
