Arthur Nathaniel Winford Obituary – The Reno Journal-Gazette and Mason Valley News

Arthur Nathaniel Winford (Butch) passed away peacefully in his paradise home surrounded by his family on September 30, 2022. He was born on August 17, 1941 to parents Allen B. and Bernice A. (Grider) Winford in Long Beach, California. He was the youngest of four siblings: Emmett, Ivadell and Nancy. On January 22, 1971, he married his beloved, Vicki who affectionately called him Sparky. Their marriage brought together two families: his three children and his two. The family moved to Reno in 1977 where he was service manager for Country Motors RV. They moved to Las Vegas from 1989 to 2003 where he worked as a construction inspector and then back to Reno. He is survived by his wife, Veronica (Vicki), son Mark (Kim), daughters Hollie Carr (Martin), LeAnn Williams (Michael), Robin Holton, JoAnn Stevenson (Craig), 9 grandchildren, 10 great -grandchildren and his sister Nancy. A celebration of life will be held Monday, October 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Hope Church, 755 Trademark Drive, Reno, NV 89521. Special thanks to Kindred Hospice for their incredible care and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, make a donation in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
